“What is true for Martha in our Gospel reading for the day is true for us, too. Like Martha, we all have these barriers in our lives that get in the way of hearing what Jesus is actually saying and what he actually wants to do in our lives. And, like Martha, Jesus is pressing us to move past those barriers and enter into the reality of what God is doing in us and around us and through us.”
