Plan Your Visit

Welcome!

We are a vibrant and historic congregation on the north side of Chicago, and we would love to have you join us for a moment or for a season in your life. But, we get it, joining in with a local church can be a bit stressful. Our goal here is to give you enough information to help you decide that it’s worth it to join us.

The first thing to know is that, if you have questions or concerns about your visit, the best thing to do is reach out and connect with us. You can email Pastor Jeff and Pastor Libby anytime here, or you can call Ann-Marie, our church administrator, during office hours at 773-463-0055.

Sunday Morning Worship

We offer two options for worship every Sunday at 10:30 am (CT).

Those who wish to worship in person are welcome to join us in the sanctuary each Sunday at 10:30 am. We are an intergenerational gathering (we really do mean people in their first decade all the way through to people in their ninth) of Jesus followers who love to welcome everyone into our traditional worship service. As for what to wear, if you wear something you think is nice, you’ll fit right in. If you’ve got children coming to worship with you, we truly love to have them in the service with the whole crew, and also there is childcare available for those ages one through five following the Word for the Children, which is usually in the first half of our service. Our address is 5250 N. Christiana Ave., Chicago, IL, but if Google Maps is more your style, here’s a link for you.

If worshiping from home works better for you, we also livestream our services at live.npcovenant.org at 10:30 am each Sunday (remember, we’re on Central Time when you’re planning), and we would love to have you join us virtually! And those digital worship services get posted to our Worship Archive by Sunday afternoon, so you can join in after the fact, if that helps you.

Coffee Hour

One last thing about the Sunday schedule. If you come in person, you are invited to make your way downstairs to the parlors every week for refreshments following the service. It can be a little intimidating, but we really do think the cookies and the conversation will make it worth it. Come on down and say hi!

Parking and Accessibility

We are an urban church in a stately and well-aged building, but we work to ensure that our facilities and programs are available to everyone.

For parking, there is a small lot in the alley between Kimball and Christiana, and we prioritize those spots for our elderly and handicapped worshipers. Other than that, there is ample street parking in the neighborhood.

For accessibility, our south entrance near the playground brings you to the elevator so you can access all levels of the church, including the sanctuary for worship, without needing to go up and down any stairs. We also have accessible restrooms, large-print Bibles and bulletins, and assistive-listening devices for Sunday morning worship.

Please let us know if you have questions or if there are other accommodations we could make to help you join fully in worship with us.
