The Youth Groups at North Park Covenant Church offer a safe place for youth in grades 6-12 to feel at home in this family of faith and to be nurtured by the Word into the steps of Jesus. There are always lots of things happening at youth group:
- Weekly youth group meetings for Jr. High and Sr. High
- Confirmation and Sunday school
- Summer Bible studies
- Camps and Retreats
- Service projects and Mission trips
- And special events like broomball, scavenger hunts, and whirlyball just to name a few!
Throughout the school year we have weekly youth group meetings. Youth in grades 6-8 meet Wednesday nights from 6:30 – 8:00 pm, Youth in grades 9-12 meet Sunday nights from 4 – 6 pm. What can you expect at youth group? Games, songs, snacks, bible studies, open gym, small group discussion, and warm and welcoming faces are just some of the ways we join together as students and youth counselors to grow in grace and knowledge (2 Peter 3:18). Youth Groups meet in the Youth Room, on the second floor of the south wing of the church building.
In addition to our weekly youth group meetings there is Confirmation for 7th and 8th graders. Confirmation is a two-year journey of reflection and study to learn the Old and New Testaments, theology of the Christian church, and to consider what it means in each of our lives to “follow and believe”. Senior High students continue to nurture their faith through Sunday School. Both Sunday School and Confirmation meet at 9:45am on Sunday mornings.
During the summer months the regular youth group meetings, confirmation, and Sunday school take a break but we have lots of fun activities to keep us occupied while we play in the sun together!
