Grammy Winners at North Park Covenant Church???

Your organist, Sharon Rich Peterson, and chancel choir director, Charles Olson, were participants in the recent recording by the Chicago Symphony Orchestra (Best Classical Album) and Chorus (Best Choral Performance) for the recording of the “Requiem” by Giuseppe Verdi. This is the eleventh Grammy Award for a CSO recording in the Best Classical Album category and the tenth win for the Chorus in the Best Choral Performance category.  Sharon Peterson has been a rehearsal pianist with the Chorus from 1978-1988 and 1994-present, and Charles Olson has been a member of the Chorus since 1987.

Linden Christ, director of the Children’s and Chancel Bell Choirs at North Park Covenant Church is also the founder and director of the Chicago Opera Play House — an organization that brings opera to children across the state. The Chicago Opera Play House was established in 2007 and has since brought the program to more than 40 Illinois schools.
