Our senior high youth group meets regularly on Sunday evenings from 7 to 8:30 pm at North Park Covenant Church in the youth room. On a typical youth group night, we gather together, hang out for a bit, play a big game in the gym, come back together and play a smaller-scale game in the youth room, listen to a talk centered on the Bible and what a life of faith looks like. Sometimes we sing, and there is always plenty of popcorn. The senior highers go on two retreats—one in the fall and one in the winter. Our fall retreat is at Covenant Harbor (Lake Geneva, WI) every other year. Our winter retreat is at Covenant Point (Iron River, MI). This is a ski retreat weekend where students get to play in the snow, ski, snowboard, play broomball, sled, snowshoe, and more. The summer is a fun time for senior high to gather during the week for beach days, water fights, sleepovers, and movies. We also do local mission trips, mission trips away from Chicago, camping excursions, and every three years we go to CHIC (Covenant High In Christ). This is a conference put on by our denomination that gathers over 3,000 students at the University of Tennessee for a week of examining their faith, playing together, and becoming closer as a youth group. Senior high is open to any freshmen through seniors in high school who are interested in coming. Keep an eye on this page and on the Facebook page for events.
