Jeff Hunter


Jeff has been a Covenant pastor since 2004. In that time, he has served in various capacities at Kent Covenant Church (Kent, WA), Swedish Covenant Hospital (Chicago, IL), Federated Covenant Church (Dowagiac, MI), and currently at North Park Covenant Church (Chicago, IL). He graduated with an M.Div. from North Park Theological Seminary in 2016. Jeff and his wife, Kristen, have two children, Emma and Finn, who greatly enjoying roaming the basement of the church. In addition to ministry, we all get a kick out of drinking apple cinnamon tea, 19th century printing presses, softball, family art projects, gluten-free cooking, Chicago museums, making music, and reading. Libby Piotrowski


Libby served as our Children’s Minster from summer of 2006 until fall 2016 and feels both extremely humbled and honored to have been called as one of our lead co-pastors. Libby has a BS from North Park College, an MA in Curriculum and Instruction from North Park University, and an MACF from North Park Theological Seminary. In her former life, Libby was a high school biology teacher in the Chicago Public School system. She and her husband, Joel, have three children, Sofie, Harry, and Teg. In her spare time, Libby loves to read, garden, and watch the Food Network channel with her kids. Email Libby.

Blake Thomas

Youth Pastor

Blake started his time at North Park Covenant Church in 2013 as a youth volunteer. In the spring of 2016 he was installed as Youth Pastor. Blake is a 2016 graduate of North Park University, where he studied youth ministry and Bible and theology. He is a native of Olathe, Kansas, and now calls Chicago home. In his spare time, you will see Blake eating BBQ, riding his bike in any type of weather, or reading in Christian's garden behind the church two-flat. Email Blake.

Ann-Marie Frisk

Church Administrator

Ann-Marie was born into North Park Covenant Church and is a member of the Chancel Choir. A 1996 graduate of North Park University, she most recently worked for the Covenant denomination. She and her husband, David, were married at NPCC in 2007 and have a young daughter. Email Ann-Marie.

Brian Ward

Music Ministry Coordinator/Organist

Brian is a choir director and music teacher at Providence St. Mel School in the Garfield Park neighborhood and holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from North Park University and Northwestern University, respectively. He has been attending North Park Covenant Church regularly since 2007. Brian and his wife, Maria, were married here and are the proud parents of Erik, Annalisa, and Kajsa. Email Brian.

Dominic German

Chancel Choir Director

Dominic is a singer and music teacher in Chicago. Before coming to North Park Covenant Church, he was the bass section leader and soloist at Trinity United Methodist in Wilmette. He sings with several choirs in Chicago including Bella Voce and Grant Park Symphony Chorus. Dominic also teaches voice lessons at Lincoln Park High School and conducts the handbell choir at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston. He holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in Vocal Performance from Moody Bible Institute and North Park University respectively. Email Dominic.

Eileen Canafax

Director/Lead Teacher, North Park Church Cooperative Preschool

Eileen has been in the field of early childhood education since graduating from Iowa State University (ISU) in 1993. She holds an undergrad degree from ISU in Child Development and holds an MS in Early Childhood Development from the Erikson Institute in Chicago. She also maintains a Level-2 Director Credential, a Level-5 Early Childhood Credential, and a Level-5 Infant and Toddler Credential through Illinois Gateways. She is married to Eric Canafax and has two beautiful and very active children. The Canafaxes are members of St. Athanasius Parish in Evanston. In her spare time, Eileen likes to garden, bike, and walk her dog, Louie. Email Eileen.
