Elizabeth (Libby) Piotrowski

Co-Pastor

Libby has been on staff at North Park Covenant Church since 2002. In that time, she has served in various capacities, with 10 years spent as the Children’s Minister, until being called to the co-pastorate in 2016. Libby has a B.S. in Biology from North Park College, an M.A. in Curriculum and Instruction from North Park University, and an M.A.C.F. from North Park Theological Seminary. Her goal is to one day earn a doctorate in preaching. In her former life, Libby was a high-school biology teacher. She and her husband, Joel, have three children: Sofia, Harrison, and Tegegn. In her spare time, Libby enjoys gardening and reading (lots of historical fiction), watching the Food Network, and cooking new foods with and for her family. Email Libby.


Jeff Hunter

Co-Pastor

Jeff has been a Covenant pastor since 2004. In that time, he has served in various capacities at Kent Covenant Church (Kent, WA), Swedish Covenant Hospital (Chicago, IL), Federated Covenant Church (Dowagiac, MI), and currently at North Park Covenant Church (Chicago, IL). He graduated with an M.Div. from North Park Theological Seminary in 2016. Jeff and his wife, Kristen, have two children, Emma and Finn, who greatly enjoying roaming the basement of the church. In addition to ministry, we all get a kick out of drinking apple cinnamon tea, 19th-century printing presses, softball, family art projects, gluten-free cooking, Chicago museums, making music, and reading. Email Jeff.


Cody Taylor

Youth Pastor

Cody was born and raised in Mankato, MN, and moved to Chicago in the fall of 2015 to study at Moody Bible Institute. He will graduate in December 2019 with a degree in Pastoral Ministry. He has been working in the youth ministry program at North Park Covenant Church since 2017 and is excited to continue working with the students as our Youth Pastor. Cody lives in Chicago with his wife, Lauren, and their dog, Lucy. In his free time he loves to watch baseball, explore new restaurants around the city, and spend time outdoors. Email Cody.


Christine Olfelt

Volunteer Minister for Christian Education

Christine is our volunteer Minister for Christian Formation. She joined the staff officially after a lifetime of being connected with North Park Covenant Church in various ways, from living in the neighborhood as a child of missionaries on home-assignment to becoming a member while a student at North Park College (now University). Christine has a passion for teaching, learning, and resourcing people of all ages to be formed in Christ. She is delighted to be able to apply her Ph.D. in Christian Education to this task and to be once again worshipping with three generations of her family at North Park. Christine enjoys building structures for a model railroad, writing curriculum, cooking, and gardening. She and her husband, Joel, have two children and a daughter-in-law, all of whom also are a part of this church community. Email Christine.


Ann-Marie O. Frisk

Church Administrator

Ann-Marie was born into North Park Covenant Church and is a member of the Chancel Choir. A 1996 graduate of North Park College, she has been on staff at NPCC since December 2013. When not working, she enjoys biking, running, yoga, sewing, and spending time with her daughter. Email Ann-Marie.

Brian Ward

Music Ministry Coordinator & Organist

Brian is a choir director and music teacher at Providence St. Mel School in the Garfield Park neighborhood and holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from North Park University and Northwestern University, respectively. He has been attending North Park Covenant Church regularly since 2007. Brian and his wife, Maria, were married here and are the proud parents of Erik, Annalisa, and Kajsa. Email Brian.


Dominic German

Chancel Choir Director

Dominic is a singer and music teacher in Chicago. Before coming to North Park Covenant Church, he was the bass section leader and soloist at Trinity United Methodist in Wilmette. He sings with several choirs in Chicago including Bella Voce and Grant Park Symphony Chorus. Dominic also teaches voice lessons at Lincoln Park High School and conducts the handbell choir at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston. He holds undergraduate and graduate degrees in Vocal Performance from Moody Bible Institute and North Park University, respectively. Email Dominic.


Carol Olfelt

Chancel Handbell Choir Director

Carol moved to Chicago from her hometown of Colorado Springs, Colorado in the fall of 2010 when she began her undergraduate degree in Music Education at North Park University. She began attending North Park Covenant Church that same year and has been a part of the church in a variety of ways ever since. Carol finished her degree in Music Education and went on to receive a Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education degree from North Park University as well. Carol has been directing the Chancel Bell Choir since 2014 and has been involved as a musician in a variety of capacities since she started attending North Park Covenant Church. She is currently a preschool teacher through ECDEC, a program of The Center: Resources for Teaching and Learning, a non-profit organization in Arlington Heights. Carol is married to Peter Olfelt and they have two feisty cats who love to fight and play. 


Becky Edwards

Interim Director,
North Park Church Cooperative Preschool

We welcome back Becky Edwards as our Interim Preschool Director for North Park Church Cooperative Preschool’s 2020-2021 academic year. Becky has a BA in Biblical Studies, Spanish, and Early Childhood Education from North Park University, as well as more than six years of teaching experience in early childhood. She was our assistant teacher at NPCCP during the 2011-2012 school year, followed by teaching second grade at Passages Charter School from 2012 to 2015. She then worked as the Preschool Director here at NPCCP from 2015 to 2017. Becky and her husband currently live in Logan Square with their three-year-old daughter and one-year-old son. She is excited to be back at NPCCP to help guide the preschool through this transitional year. Email Becky
