Good Sense:

The Good $ense financial workshop has been rescheduled!

The Stewardship committee invites you to attend the Good $ense financial workshop being held Friday, March 30 and Saturday, March 31st.   Snacks and beverages will be provided.  Whether you are struggling financially or you are a multi-millionaire (or anywhere in between), the workshop is for you.  If you are buried in debt and trying to get out or just want to make better financial decisions, the workshop is for you. If you are single or married (couples encouraged to attend together) and over 16, the workshop is for you. If you have asked the question “what does the Bible say about money?”, this workshop is for you.  This class is safe and solution oriented.  No one will be required to turn in or share any personal financial information unless they choose to share information on their own.  The course fees are now being covered by the church!  Childcare will be provided.  To register, please contact the church office.  Register now!  You won’t want to miss it.

Falling Upward!

As a community, members and friends of North Park Covenant Church will be encouraged to read “Falling Upward” over the next several weeks. You may choose to read alone, in a group of friends, as a family, or ask the office to assign a group for you. This will be a wonderful chance for us to ask the question, “Am I doing enough – is there more for me to be doing?” In Falling Upward: A Spirituality for the Two Halves of Life, Fr. Richard Rohr helps us to understand the tasks of the two halves of life and teaches us that those who have failed, or gone down are the only ones who can really understand ‘up.’ Those who have somehow fallen, and fallen well, are the only ones who can grow spiritually and not misuse ‘up.’ What looks like falling down can largely be experienced as ‘falling upward!’
